Pre-Treatment Care
To support the best outcome, avoid topical retinol for at least 5 days before your treatment. If you’ve recently had laser or a skin peel, your clinician will advise on appropriate timing between treatments based on your skin type and concern. Good cosmeceutical skincare preparation beforehand is also recommended.
Is This Treatment Right for You?
Dermaplaning isn’t suitable for everyone. During your consultation, your clinician will check for factors such as diabetes, active cancer currently undergoing treatment, use of Accutane or isotretinoin within the past 12 months, blood-thinning medication or frequent aspirin use, active pustular or cystic acne, recent sunburn or windburn, and cold sores, to confirm this treatment is appropriate for you.
